Overview

Similar to GS1 DataBar but split into two rows to create a smaller symbol. Used for pharmaceutical packaging.

Encoding

Encodes the following:
  • Codeable characters: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
  • AI (01) is automatically encoded

NOTE: Do not include the AI in the input data.

Structure

  • Packaging indicator (0 - 9).
  • 12-digit number (from EAN 13 article numbering system).
  • Check digit (calculated automatically by Toolkit)

Requirements

No quiet zone is required.

Toolkit will automatically calculate and apply the check digit.
